The Department of Prosthodontics (University Medical Center Göttingen) provides a structured training program for all current and future residents after the state examination by internal and external experts (start: 04/2021).
The intensive postgraduate program covers advanced theory and practice of prosthodontics: i.a. complete prosthodontics, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, implant prosthodontics, diagnosis and treatment of patients with temporomandibular disorders (tmd), but it is strongly geared towards clinical dentistry
The duration of the program is at least 2 years and it consists of 28 theoretical modules, 8 practical courses/hands-on clinical trainings, various clinical hospitations and supervised case documentations. UMG Prosthodontics is one of the trainings centres for the national program “Specialist in Prosthetics” of the DGPro (German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials.
